Pilots N Paws book coming 2011 !

Well known author, Patrick Regan, is writing a book about all the heartfelt stories of the animals who have crossed our paths during our Pilots N Paws transports.  Please read Patrick’s message below and let’s flood his email inbox with our stories!  Each and everyone animal has a special story and a special person so please share!

Pilots N Paws book coming in 2011. We want your stories!

PNP isn’t just an amazing organization–it’s a great story. And in 2011, the story of PNP will hit bookstores nationwide in the book Dog Is My Copilot.

The book will recount the brief but wonderful history of PNP and present a collection of rescue stories collected from volunteers like you. We want to hear from pilots, shelter workers, animal rescue volunteers, foster homes, and anyone else who has a touching, funny, triumphant, or heart-warming story that came out of working with PNP. The book will be packed with photos too, so be sure to let us know if you have good shots that you can share.

If you’d like your story to be considered for the book, please email a brief account of your rescue story to author Patrick Regan at dogiscopilot@gmail.com–the sooner the better. To be considered for the book, stories will need to be accepted by September 30, 2010. If you have a good photo or two, send them along too.

If you’d rather tell your story over the phone, email Patrick with your contact information and he will set up a time to talk.

You do great work for the animals–now it’s time to share these tail-wagging tales with the world.

  3. What these pilots do is just so awsome & how I want to THANK them for getting me GRACIE & who is now a Registered Pet Therapy Dog w/Delta Society. We are now a Pet Partner Team! We visit Cancer Patients,a Dialysis Ctr. & a Read Program for kids.So it shows how it evolves from a very bad environment to a beautiful gift for Society.Thank You Again for all you do. The date of Gracie’s fight was 3-21-09 & I don’t know the names of the pilots but it was a Woman & a Guy so I’d like to get their names so I can send a special Thanks.

rescue Corgi from MO. Diane M. Anthony

  4. Last Saturday Oilots n Paws took a group of 20 shelter dogs to other states. These dogs were in a high kill shelter. For 2 wks befor they left they were fostered in homes of the LACC volunteers. I had 4 in my home and came to love them all. They each have an angel watching over them to have been chosen for this rescue. After being a volunteer and foster for many dogs, I had almost lost sight of people like these pilots and other PnP volunteers. My faith in humanity has been restored. I will continue to rescue and foster as well as volunteer with animal control. Maybe, just maybe I will be blessed enough to help in another day like I had on Sept. 19, 2010. It was truly a beautiful day. Beautiful dogs going to beautiful places and flown there by people wityh beautiful hearts.
