We , Doberman Assistance Network, did something truly amazing in my book . With a challenge from the pilot, we loaded up five Dobermans…four adults and 1 puppy into a tin can with wings and sent them on their way to a new life. There is NO spare room is a general aviation aircraft (well any aircraft for that matter) and loading one adult 70 pound dog is a challenge. Many of our pilots only have room for puppies. Our pilot took out the back seats and mounted crates for the voyage.

The day was very emotional as two of the dogs have a tragic back story of a murdered family. There was not a dry eye as the plane left with its precious cargo (Vicki started it !) We all stood in awe as it settled into us that an amazing pilot worked magic and whisked 5 lives to a better tomorrow. We are truly grateful and indebted to the pilot Scott , Pilots n Paws, Distinguished Doberman and North Coast for the lives to come for these beautiful dogs.
