Emergency flight for Suge, Thank you Pilots Pete and Mike!
From May Heckman, MN Boxer Rescue:
Suge is a 1 year old boxer boy that was found by animal control along the Bluegrass Highway in Bardstown, KY. He was hit by a car and suffered a broken pelvis and broken back leg.
He sat in the shelter in a cage with no veterinary care from Saturday of last week until Tuesday of this past week. My Humane Society rescue contact went to the shelter to pull dogs and found him laying in his feces and urine. The shelters excuse for not taking him to a vet, they don’t have money for vetting.
Laura immediately pulled him and took him to the vet and contacted me. I then contacted PNP Pilots Pete Howell and Mike Gerdes to see if they could do an emergency flight for us.

Pilot Mike meets "Suge" and they are ready for the first flight!Pilot Mike helps Suge get settled in Pilot Pete's plane
They put it all aside and flew our guy to MN yesterday afternoon.
You have an amazing organization!!! And I have 2 very special pilots that have flown MANY missions for Minnesota Boxer Rescue.

This just brought tears to my eyes. A very big thankyou to the person that pulled Suge and to the rescue that is taking him. But most important a tremendous thankyou to the pilot and pilots that give of there time, planes and money to help all the animals like Suge. As a volunteer with Carolina Boxer Rescue I know all to well how difficult it is to get these precious creatures to where they need to be. There is a special place in the heavens for each of you.
LOVE THIS!!! LOVE THIS!!! LOVE THIS!!! How can a shelter allow a dog to lay like that!!! NO $$$! NO EXCUSE!!! They could have at least cleaned up this poor baby! Thank you God for His rescue!!! May You bless these volunteers!!!:-)
Thank you to everyone so much for helping Suge. It means so much to know that there are so many caring people willing to donate their time and efforts to help fur-kids in need. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Kudos Pete and Mike, keep doing a fantastic job! I had seen this poor boys photo, and story through MN boxer rescue. I am glad he is in excellent hands now! Again, thank you so much for what you do, you change the lives of many in such a positive way!
