1 Plane, 1 pilot, 3 pups and 4 rats to rescue!
Pilot Zachary Bryson started his inaugeral flight with Pilots N Paws determined to make a difference in several animals lives including some unusual pets.
The flight started with an injured cattle dog who desperately needed to get to get from the shelter to Coast Cattle Dog Rescue for veterinary care. This girl was picked up as a stray in San Bernardino County. She was very thin and had a bad front leg injury. She was gentle but frightened. Thanks to Zach and the rescue group she is on her way to healing.
Even though this was Zach’s first rescue flight, he was determined that it was going to include as many animals as possible. Along came a request for two beautiful boxers, Hansel and Gretal, who were strays looking for forever homes.
Humane Society for SW, Washington SPCA opened their doors and Zach flew them to northern California where Second Chance Ground Rescue Transport continued their journey to safety.
You guessed it, not ready to fly empty, Zach saw yet another request for help for 6 baby 10 week old rats 🙂 Two went to RabbitEARS in northern California and they other four needed to head south to two different approved adoptive homes.
Zach put it this way: ” The flights I did this weekend were my first PNP flights since I signed up and it was such a blast…..I really enjoyed it and am trying to put together some more multi let/multi animal flights for this week or next. Best, Zach”
We look forward to hearing more from Zach and thank him for his dedication to animals in need. “Such a blast” pretty much describes the feeling you get when you see the grins on the faces of the animals you have helped.
THANK YOU TO OUR VERY CARING SPONSORS, SUBARU AND PETMATE!
