Anna’s Big Adventure

Anna is a little cattle dog aussie mix that somehow ended up at the Pender Co Animal Shelter. The volunteers sent out several pleas to aussie groups to see if they could take her into their rescues, and That’ll Do Again rescue out of Charlotte wonderfully decided to take her into their fantastic group. The group is located in Charlotte, a good five hours from the Pender shelter. Time was of the essence, and we needed to get to the group very quickly.

Frank with Anna and Stuart

Stepping up to the plate at a moment’s notice, Stuart Hoyt graciously volunteered to come pick her up at the local airport and fly her to Charlotte. This happened within a matter of two days notice!

Anna enjoyed her first night of freedom at the Half-Way Home Canine Rescue Inc group’s kennel, where she was spoiled rotten. The following morning, she woke up bright and early to prepare for her first class flight to a new life. I really think that all pups recognize kindness, and she was a wonderful girl throughout her big adventure. She is now resting comfortable in her foster family’s care as she awaits a new forever family.

A HUGE HUGE thank you to PNP pilot Stuart for his wonderful help and kindness to getting her to safety. Without his help, Anna’s life would not have been saved. THANK YOU STUART!
