Four Years and Eight Pounds

A four year old, eight pound Chihuahua named Bella managed to avoid the euthanasia chamber in Miami, FL after being surrendered by her owner.

She is a sweet little Chi even after surviving an abusive home and gets to trade that in for a loving forever home as a widow’s only companion in Manassas, VA.  Once again, we aren’t talking about an 80 mile trip to the next town but an 800 mile trip over a few states.

Enter Rich flying for Pilots N Paws to make the connection between the two possible.  He made the long flight from Florida to Virginia.  Bella finished her trip by ground from DC to Manassas with the help of other volunteers.

Look at the love in her fur-ever family’s face! Any question that it was worth the effort?

A huge “Thank-you” to all involved. I started “collecting” chihuahuas last year as I was just unable to give up some of my foster chihuahuas. They are wonderful dogs!! Bella and her new owner have many joyous years ahead of them. Wonderful news, and thanks again to all – it is terrific to read such stories!
