Pilot Bill Branch with Lucy and Bandit

Thank you to PNP Pilot Bill Branch and so many others involved in the rescue of these two seven-year-old Bassett Hounds, Lucy and Bandit. The dogs were surrendered by their owners and taken to Orange County Animal Care, a high kill shelter in California.

No one at the shelter knew why Lucy and Bandit were surrendered by their family, but with a group effort these two were given the chance to find a new family who could give them the love and attention that they deserve.

Their journey began when Julie Ashleigh from Ark Animal Rescue initiated the effort to keep this bonded pair together. The search began, and transport was needed once Kathleen of Las Vegas Bassett Rescue agreed to take Lucy and Bandit into her care and commit to finding a home they could both go to together.
