Smiley, the Giant Lovable Lug

Smiley, the Giant Lovable Lug

Dear All: ¬†We’ve had another successful dog rescue.

In doing my best to make a complicated story uncomplicated…

Somewhere along the way Karen encounter a group called “Plumbers For Puppies.” (No, I had never heard of them either)

They were trying to save this lovebug of a Heinz 57 dog named “Smiley” from a date with the needle. The problem was that Smiley was in the Nashville area and Plumbers For Puppies is in the Chicago area. Of course these plumbers knew of Karen and her work with Pilots N Paws. As Smiley’s fate would have it, we were going to be in Nashville anyway. So, Karen turned this flight into a Pilots N Paws mission.

Here’s Smileyyyyyyyy:

And he is one big giant lovable lug!

Sorry big guy, I’m doing this to save your life. But yes, there’s a reason he’s named Smiley. He just grins ear to ear.

Smiley came home and spent the night with us. Then left with Karen the next day to start his new life through Plumbers For Puppies.

  1. Thanks for helping to save this guy! What a sweetie he is and you guys are GREAT!!!!

  2. I think what Pilots N Paws does is beautiful. It warms my heart to know there are caring people out there our four legged friends deserve the best, they give us so much. I live in Oregon I don’t know if we have anything similar here on the west coast. I hope so. There are so many animals to save
