Warning: These Puppy Pictures May Make You Want To Adopt A Rescue Animal Immediately!!!!
Thank You Todd & Mary Brooks For Sharing Your 17th PNP Rescue Mission with us!
Our 17th Pilots N Paws Rescue April 27, 2012 started at (KHSV) Huntsville Airport in Alabama, our home base. We headed to Tuscaloosa, Al. There we picked up 3 lab puppies from Debbie Puckett. The lab puppies were about 10 weeks old. Also waiting for a ride were 2 beagle mixes, Bernie and Brownie. These little guys were brothers and got along great. The last of the crew was a 15lb Chihuahua and her 6 puppies that were about 3lbs each. These little guys were still nursing.
Shannon Walker did a great job of coordinating this rescue. Once all passengers were on board we headed to Greenville, Al. to meet up with Ed and Sandy. When we arrived Ed and Sandy were already starting to load their airplane with 28 dogs. Then we added our 12 to their mix. This was such a jigsaw puzzle to figure out how to fit all of the animals in the airplane. We started loading and unloading crates to make sure everyone would have a place to ride. What a chore, but no one was left behind. Ed took off and headed to Florida.
It is always very emotional for these rescuers to let the dogs go, but they know the animals are headed for a better life.
All rescues are complex rescues, but they end up very successful. Another part of a successful rescue is finding someone to take care of our 4 dogs. Thanks to Adam Wallace, who took care of our dogs so we could do this rescue.
