Worth flying the extra miles to save these beautiful Dogs? Absolutely!!!

Transport for:  Kelly Smith, Lab Retriever Rescue of Florida

Cathy Dawson with Collierville Shelter brought Tex to the Olive Branch airport.

I ferried my B55 from my home base airport, Covington, TN ( M04) to Olive Branch, MS, (OLV) where I met Collierville, TN Shelter Volunteer Cathy Dawson. Cathy brought my first passenger to me. His name was Tex.

Tex is a Yellow Lab found as a stray in Collierville, TN. He was a BIG BOY, checking in at 97 pounds but just a BIG LOVE BUG!!

Jackie and Alan with the two Chocolate Labs meeting Tex. They got along great!!

With Tex in the back seat, we departed for Crossville, TN where we would met Jackie Baker President of Wags and Whiskersm, www.wawpr.org.  Jackie had been fostering 2 young, Brother & Sister, Chocolate Labs, pulled from the Crossville Shelter.

Chocolate Labs, L to R, Nina and Little Foot in-flight over GA headed for FL.

Only two days earlier, I had received an email from the Crossville Shelter listing all of the dogs available for adoption. On that list, I noticed the two Chocolate Labs. I sent the information about the two Labs on to Kelly Smith of the Lab Retriever Rescue of Florida. Her quick response, we will take them!! Since, LRRofFL was already taking Tex into their rescue, they were also taking in the 2 young Chocolates. 3 Labs at once, now that is a good rescue!!!

Kellys Daughter Jessica, in stroller, Kelly, Oldest Daughter Sarah. Tex with his new family, Elyse and Son Trevor.

The night before the flight to Florida, Kelly told me Tex had been adopted and his new family will be at the airport when I land. Also, LRR of FL have several approved applications for the Chocolate Kids.

Doesn’t get any better does it?

BTW, the flight’s were a non-event!!

Yes, I think Tex has found his FOREVER HOME!!!

UPDATE - Just heard that BOTH Chocolate Labs Nina and Lil Foot have been adopted and our in their FOREVER HOMES!!
