Outside Activities

Methodist Research Institute (MRI) in Indiana highlights the activities of its diverse staff in a newsletter. The September 2012 issue included a section on PnP pilot Cary N. Mariash, MD.

“MRI’s Medical Director has succeeded in turning his love for flying aircraft from a personal activity into a philanthropic endeavor. A member of Angel Flight, a not-for-profit charitable organization that arranges free air transportation for individuals with medically related needs, Dr. Mariash has donated his time, flying skills, and airplane for over 10 years. In addition, he also donates time and provides air support to another charitable organization, Pilots N Paws. PNP helps a different kind of needy passenger, the K9 variety. With Pilots N Paws, Dr. Mariash helps to transport rescued or shelter pets to their new “forever” homes.”
