Teddy & Louie

PNP Pilot Ross Edmondson and his father Ron, visiting from England,  flew to Ohio and picked up Teddy, an unwanted little boy from Harrison County, OH (home of the infamous dog pound which gained national media exposure a few years ago). Teddy lived a pitiful existence.  He had been tethered outdoors 24/7 with little attention and only a homemade dog box as shelter. Appalachian Ohio SPCA was asked to find him a new home.

In addition, Louie, a fabulous coon hound, also discarded by his owner from nearby Columbiana County, OH, was able to be pulled from a kill shelter and join the transport. That effort happened thanks to the volunteers of Rescue Me Ohio. Louie had been tethered his life as well and had been at their dog pound a whopping six months!   Last week’s flight was delayed due to a storm. While Teddy was safe in boarding, Louie’s outlook was not bright, with his days numbered. Thanks to a caring dog warden (Columbiana County), Louie’s life was spared and both have been delivered to their new owners in New York.

After all the affection pets have shown us, they deserve some in return. Subaru and Petmate are helping PnP provide that love and attention to our animal friends.
