On Saturday, Friends of Animals teamed up with Pilots N Paws to transport two dogs, Choco, a 6-year-old German Short Hair and Lainey, a 5-month-old German Short Hair. Choco will be flying to Amherst, Va. and Lainey will be flying to Monrovia, Md. Friends of Animals of Junction City/Geary County is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization that rescues abused and neglected pets for placement in loving forever homes.
Shown are the pilots for Pilots N Paws, Eric and his son, Tate, from Columbia, Mo., just before taking off from Freeman Field in Junction City.
Pilots N Paws is a national nonprofit organization who donate their time, airplanes and hundreds of dollars in fuel for just one flight to give a dog or a cat a chance at finding a forever home.
With the help of Friends of Animals and Pilots N Paws, Choco and Lainey will fly to their new life, leaving behind a life of neglect and abuse. Friends of Animals is forever grateful for the help they received from Pilots N Paws in the transport of these two dogs.
