Dad’s Day Came a Bit Early for Two Papas
Father’s Day came a couple weeks early for two, most certainly, proud papas. One Father/son and one father/daughter team completed a transport for three dogs from Boone County, WV to Markham, Ontario.
Mahesh Sankaran, with his son Kirun accompanying him, climbed aboard his Piper on June 1 in Niagara Falls, NY for a special mission. They were enroute to pick up 3 dogs from Cheri, who is a volunteer with the Boone Animal Rescue Coalition (BARC). Cheri brought the dogs to the Parkersburg airport in West Virginia.
The duo picked the dogs up there and flew them back to Niagara Falls. The dogs did well on the flight, even though it was very bumpy for some time until Mahesh got above 5000 feet. Cara from Heeling Home Dog Rescue in Markham, Ontario (near Toronto) met the flight. With her dad as her assistant, she transferred the dogs to her car and they took the dogs across the border into Canada.
