Dad’s Day Came a Bit Early for Two Papas

Dad’s Day Came a Bit Early for Two Papas

Father’s Day came a couple weeks early for two, most certainly, proud papas. One Father/son and one father/daughter team completed a transport for three dogs from Boone County, WV to Markham, Ontario.

Mahesh Sankaran, with his son Kirun accompanying him, climbed aboard his Piper on June 1 in Niagara Falls, NY for a special mission. They were enroute to pick up 3 dogs from Cheri, who is a volunteer with the Boone Animal Rescue Coalition (BARC). Cheri brought the dogs to the Parkersburg airport in West Virginia.

The duo picked the dogs up there and flew them back to Niagara Falls. The dogs did well on the flight, even though it was very bumpy for some time until Mahesh got above 5000 feet. Cara from Heeling Home Dog Rescue in Markham, Ontario (near Toronto) met the flight. With her dad as her assistant, she transferred the dogs to her car and they took the dogs across the border into Canada.

My Foster Dog “Big Boy” made it to Canada.
Praying you are loved, because you deserve it.
“Big Boy” was rescued the day before euthanization at Boone County Dog Pound at Fosterville WV.
A (used to be) “High Kill Shelter” I was blessed to care for him for several weeks. I grew to love “Big Boy”. He has a gentle nature and is wonderful with other dogs and children.
The day he was picked up for his new journey was not an easy one for me. I and my dog “Max” had grown so attached. Max was in a depression for the past few weeks. I know it was because he missed his running buddy.
B.A.R.C. (Boone Animal Rescue Coalition) saves a lot of animals.
So please? If you have an animal and do not want Puppies or Kittens.
    Please Spay and Neuter.
