Janet Geren shares the following story…

I did a short video of Cupcake’s long trek to us here in Northern California and wanted to share with you and thank you so much for helping us. We lost all of our bunnies on March 21 during a fire that burned our whole place down.

This is a short video to thank all the amazing people who made it possible for us to be able to be a forever home for such a dear and sweet bunny. Here is our new girl from shelter, plane and car to us, about 600 miles. One small little bunny who means the world to us.

She was taken to a high kill shelter. She is now safe at home after first being rescued by “The Bunny Bunch” at their Fountain Valley Rescue Site. She was named Cupcake, and the BB spayed her before she was adopted by us. Coordinated by so many wonderful people, I also want to thank Bunny Bunch and her volunteers for saving this wonderful girl from the OC shelter and providing her with love and shelter until she could find a forever home and a way to get there! And to the volunteer who took her home and brought her to the Airport early Saturday morning. Cupcake traveled (I am quite sure and maybe more) over 600 miles by airplane and car.

Thanks Sue Clark, Lady Flyer for bringing cupcake to her final destination and thanks to the Volunteer PNP Pilot, John Baker and your great “TEAM” Cupcake… Judy Zelmar the navigator and flight attendant, Karen Adams Co-pilot, Cupcake safely arrived to us at 3 pm pst at Nancy’s Airport Restaurant on May 11, 2013 as scheduled! Randy, Mom and I are so grateful to you and it was great to meet you!!! Cupcake is at home with us now after a very long day and exploring her new home! Thank you So much, all of you for bringing this beautiful bunny to her forever home.
