Skippy Jon Jones – A Happy “Tail”

Skippy Jon Jones is a handsome fella from McPherson, KS who tested positive for feline leukemia. This was a setback that the McPherson County Humane Society staff was willing to help him overcome, and they did so with the help of Facebook and Pilots N Paws. A woman from Lakewood, CO saw Skippy’s story on FB and knew he would be a fine addition to her feline family. The MCHS was thrilled to discover PNP and find a way to get Skippy to Colorado.

On July 23, a volunteer drove a very anxious Skippy to the Hays Regional Airport, and Dwayne Schuck flew him the rest of the way to his new home. It was also Dwayne’s first mission with PNP, but he says it won’t be his last. The McPherson Co. Humane Society staff couldn’t be more thrilled for their good friend Skippy Jon, who finally has his forever home. Thanks Dwayne!

I enjoyed every minute of our trip to Hays, although I can’t say the same for Skippy. He was very nervous, so I just kept telling him how awesome his new home was going to be. We miss him at the humane society but we are so, SO glad his story has a happy ending. Can’t thank PnP enough for your help in making this happen.
