Toro’s Travels

Michelle made sure another furry friend found a way out of a bad situation.

She rose early to make a 5:00am meet up with Corrine and Jean in LA. Her morning drive was with Toro, a 10-yr chi beagle mix rescued from a LA hoarder. Toro was 1 of 80 dogs at risk of going to one of LA’s High kill shelters. The car trip entailed 5 freeway connections ( yes “5 “) to get from LA to Riverside airport to get Toro on an early morning flight. Toro started with a first leg to Bakersfield and then made a connecting flight to San Francisco.

What a day for Toro! From hoarder living to flying above the clouds on two private planes to the “Best” (voted #1 senior rescue) Senior rescue located in San Francisco. Toro will now be spoiled at Muttville!

Before his flight he was rescued then bathed, de fleaed, de wormed and had his teeth cleaned. Thanks to Jean and Corrine – these lovely generous and tireless rescuers were his angels.

Special thanks to pilots Rick Young and Colin Rasmussen for offering to fly Toro to safety and responding to this flight request so quickly!

Enjoy your new path Toro! You deserve so much.
