Hi All,

As most of you know, I mainly move dogs and cats that are in danger of being euthanized at kill shelters in the southeast and get them to rescue groups wherever they may be.

And while yesterdays transport was no different in that regard, it also involved a medical transport, a long distance adoption, and the reuniting of one dog and one cat with their original owners after they had found themselves hundreds of miles from home.

The English Bulldog from Miami had knee surgery on one leg and was going to Gainesville, FL to his foster/adoptive home.

The 13 year old Yorkie was stolen from a families front yard in Tampa, FL around Thanksgiving and ended up in a kill shelter in Auburn, AL. Thanks to her microchip her owner in Tampa was contacted and we were able to reunite the pair through a ground/air transport.

“Buster” was adopted from Tyler, Tx just prior to being put down and thanks to three other PNP pilots (Wade Roberts, Mark Molina and Sean Fitzgerald) they were able to get him to Alabama where I had set up a foster until my flight. His adopter is in Fort Myers, Florida.

Sam the Cat was being transported from Colorado to Key West and got away from the transporter at a Hot Springs, Arkansas camp area about two months ago. The camp host was notified and Sam was finally located living with a family of Raccoons in a culvert. Ground transport moved Sam to Birmingham, AL where he was fostered for this trip.

The rest of the transport pups were sent to rescue groups in the Tampa area. (Suncoast, Kelly Curtis and Lori Spaulding).

The last two photos are of the Yorkie and Sam the cat back where they belong.
