Ryan Abbey few from Searcy, AR to Sherman, TX for the pickup in his Ercoupe and then back to Searcy. Jim Carney flew over to Searcy from Covington,TN to meet Ryan for the hand off and then flew back east to Hohenwald, TN.

Due to the very strong headwind, Ryan had to stop for fuel at Mena, AR. Once on the ground, he discovered an issue with his nose landing gear tire. He was able to get it fixed and continued on to Sherman, TX. As a result, the transport was a little late but they still got it done.

Jim mentions Ryan is an active member of the USAF. He is a crew chief on a C130 and based at Little Rock AFB, AR. Not only is he giving back when flying charitable flight for Pilots N Paws but also serving his country in the USAF!!
