A 2 Day PNP Journey Results In 4 Animals To New Homes!!

Four pilots embarked on a 2-day journey to get these four animals to their new homes.  Pilot Matt Jessel met up with 5Kristin Brinson in Emporia, VA where she drove the animals ~1 hour to begin the flight portion of their journey.

Four dogs: Champ – 45lbs Boxer, Edie – 40lbs Collie; Chloe – 30lbs Hound and Gus – 29lbs Boxer Pup all embarked in a Cirrus SR20 up to Frederick, MD to meet Doug Weir/Rob Bondy.  Despite ~30 knot winds on most of the hour long flight – all were well behaved.  Doug and Rob flew a Grumman Tiger to Flying W (in Lumberton, NJ) to drop off Chloe (Burlington Co. Animal Alliance) and continued on to Caldwell, NJ to drop off Champ (Second Chance Rescue) and Edie (See Spot Rescued).  Gus was graciously hosted overnight by a local shelter and picked up on Sunday 3/16 by Margery Gans for the final leg up to Manchester, NH where he was received by WOOFFUN.

Want to give a shout out to Liz, Max and Ethan at Rover Rancha and Spa (http://www.roverranchandspa.com/) who provided Gus with the overnight accomodations which made his rescue possible. By providing such support to us, we were able to connect flights on the two days. THANK YOU!

It would be a huge help to pilots if this site included such facilities which could be used in the event of unforseen events resulting in stranded animals or for a similar purpose of connecting flights. Hopefully businesses like this can benefit from good PR for their contribution to the welfare of these rescue animals.
