Finding Pilots by Location

Postby Doris_in_Georgia on Fri Oct 07, 2011 10:19 pm

I have posted for a long transport where 4 legs/flight segments are needed. I have offers from pilots to fly 3 of the 4 legs, but don't know how to send a message to pilots in the key area that I need. I don't want to send to everyone, but want to target some appropriate pilots. Is there a way to search for pilots along a particular route that is a subset of the overall route without posting a new flight request? Thanks for any suggestions you can provide.

Doris, you might try this. Go to your transport request and click Map this Request at the top. It gives you a map like this:

Do you see the Google url with the end circled in red? The zip codes of your full transport are shown on the end of the url, 3042606040.
Just take the zip codes of the short leg you want and plug them into the end of that url instead, and it will give you a new map with the short leg only.
For example, you may want 30830 and 29720 (Burke County Airport to Lancaster County Airport), so plug 3083029720 into the url instead of 3042606040 and hit ENTER.
You can also simply click More Mapping Options at the top of your post and plug in the zip codes there.
Please post again if that doesn't work or wasn't what you had in mind.
