Lynn...I'm in Grand Rapids...it's half way between Caro and Michigan City. It wouldn't make sense for me to fly to Michigan City to pick up a dog that is being transported from Caro, just to fly to Peoria.
However, I would be...as originally stated...willing to fly from Grand Rapids to Caro to pick up the dog to deliver to Michigan City, Gary, IN or Lansing, IL.
It would be really great to get someone to pick up the Caro to Zeeland flight as we had planned with George.
So..to be clear..If you get a pilot to fly the Caro to Michigan City route. I'm out.
If you get a pilot to fly the Michigan City to Peoria route...I'm in. And will pick up Keiran in Caro to deliver to MC.
It may be worthwhile for you to look at flight plannings sites like flightaware, Flightpln.com to get an idea of the flight logistics. You can find airports that are around the pickup point or destination by going to Airnav.com, going to the airports tab and typing in a city and state. Mostly pilots are looking for a paved runway (although grass is ok as long as it's not soggy) with a fixed based operator (FBO) on site. The FBO will have a place for a pilot to rest, wait..perhaps get some food and drink..perhaps have courtesy car available in the event there is a delay, weather information and a computer terminal...but most importantly fuel. Perhaps you know all of that, which is great. But if not...it's good information to have.
Just keep me posted.
Kevin
