Subject: Change in RSA 437 effective Aug 4, 2012

Hi All;

This is to inform you that there are some changes that are going to effect the licensing statue, RSA 437:10 V., which will become effective August 4, 2012. This change will affect all of you as you will no longer be allowed to deliver dogs directly from the truck to their new owners. HB 325 reads, “Once a dog, cat, or ferret intended for transfer has entered the state, it shall be held at least 48 hours at a facility licensed under RSA 437:1 or at a facility operated by a licensed veterinarian separated from other animals on the premises before being offered for transfer.” As well, a New Hampshire-issued official health certificate would be required prior to transfer of ownership to the final owner.

You can find the text of the change at:

I will need to know the name & address of the facility you will be using for the quarantine as soon as you have established a relationship with a licensed facility. If you are going to establish a facility in NH, I will need an application & zoning confirmation in order to license and inspect that facility.

I have attached a list of licensed Animal Shelters that you can contact if you do not have a licensed facility in NH.

The approved list is any licensed rescue located in NH and/or vet's offices.
