HELP NOW! Senior sweet Shepherd Los Angeles to San Francisco

Post by chela » Sat Mar 29, 2014 8:20 pm

Number of animals being transported: 1
Breeds, weight, age: Shep X, 71 lbs, 10 years young
Health condition: good
Heartworm status:
Vaccinations: DHLPP/Rabies/Bordatella
Health certificate:
Spayed/neutered: yes
Special needs:
(Contact information publicly viewable on forum):
Name and contact for person in charge of transport: Chela at [email protected]
Name and contact for Sending rescue/parties: Chela or Kerry email at [email protected]
Name and contact for Receiving rescue/parties: Eva at Muttville
Are you a 501c3: yes
Date ready for transport: now
Additional info/situation: This very very beloved dog was at a shelter waiting to die when he was discovered by one of the volunteers. He was so special and nice to all the other dogs and how he loved the volunteers who visited him. But he was a senior Shepherd and no one wanted him, no one wants an older dog. Here is the video the volunteer made to network him http://youtu.be/lzmcTNYQ0pY . After so many weeks and so many people passing him by, Muttville [the wonderful seniors rescue] said they would take. Hooray! Hooray! But now we need to get him there---can any of you help? Thank you so much for all you do.
PS there was an earlier post about someone able to do southern leg on Wed afternoon [that day only]---we were not able to get a southern pilot on board and now there has been no response to this.....please help if you can

Consider me available for a leg from, say, Paso Robles north to Livermore. Weather this week may be iffy, though. Let me know...

Hi there:

Looks like you may have the northern leg covered, but let me know if that falls through I may be able to help later in the week.

I'm able to fly the southern leg this Saturday or Sunday. Weather looks promising north and south. Let me know if that works for you Bruce. Paso or San Luis works for me.

Bruce can you fit one more in your plane? Crated cat and drop at Rio Vista?

Don't know how the GSD would react to a cat, even if crated...
