Date ready for transport: ASAP but willing to wait a couple weeks for the ride too.
Additional info/situation:Operation Wolfhound provides service dogs to veterans in need at no charge. The dogs are donated too. No one is ever charged a fee or paid for dogs. These dogs save lives. They rescue humans. Ty is going to a Marine that needs him at no cost to the Marine. He is trained, vetted and ready to do his job of watching over his person. Trainers & Marine will meet the pilot with the dog. Photos with the trainer and dog are allowed - the Marine might allow his photo to be taken. If PNP wants to use pictures for their own purposes, they are welcome to do so.

I'm interested in flying this mission, but concerned about the dog's size. Is Ty crated? What are the dimensions of the crate?

He can be crated if you wish or he can be put in a dog seatbelt harness to make sure he remains in his seat. He travels quietly and easily. If he is in a crate - it will be a 500 to 700 crate.

Thanks for the nice clear reply. I'm thinking 500 crate might fit... but might not. Are you able to meet me some day, say this week, at Reno Stead to do a "test" with the crate, plus Ty with his dog seatbelt harness? We could meet early in the morning, say 8am or 9am, to avoid the heat. If either the seatbelt harness or crate works, then we can pick a date for the transport.
Thanks,
Wayne

I will ask Karen if she can meet you with Ty this week. She is retired so it should be no problem. What are the best days for you?

I could meet 9am tomorrow (Thursday) for the "test". If that works, can you PM me so we can exchange contact info?
Also, planning ahead, on the SLC side would Tooele Valley (TVY) airport work?

I will send you Karen's info as soon as I hear back from her, she lives in CA a bit across the border so I need her to tell me what she can or can't do.

I may be driving that route late July if other transport doesn't go.

Thank you although it looks like this dog will be transported soon, we may have other needs then. We have a lot of veterans in the SLC area.
