Bingo! I went in through Chrome and it works. So sorry for taking up your time on this.

Liz, Mike Green will have to get back with you on this. He is our wonderful pilot volunteer who keeps the mapping options going. I do know that google maps keeps changing and that in turn effects our integration.

You can still use the mapping feature by clicking on the VolunteerMap at the top of each page of the forum board. Then zoom in to the location you need and the pilots will display. You can then contact them. Personally, my firefox browser occasionally has issues with the mapping but IE always seems to work. Here is the direct link for the Volunteer map and you can filter by options:

thank you!

I tried it in IE but didn't have any success there either. Google is pissing me off lately... I can play PacMan now but I can't find an address????

just ridiculous

I'll figure something out.

Yet another puppy mill/hoarder bust in OH and my inbox will be overflowing. I love personal fly ins don't you? *sigh

Liz, others have said updating to Google Chrome browser helps? Yes, your inbox will be overflowing, thank you as always for going that extra mile when working with our pilots.!

It is working for me in IE so not sure what to tell you, so aggravating when you know it's there and you can't reach it. Keep trying, close your browser and re-open sometimes that helps as well.

I posted this: http://www.pilotsnpaws.org/forum/viewto ... 17&t=34290
in the tech support thread, but wanted to give everyone who tracks this thread an update as well.

Today the forum was updated with a little more help in finding pilots. As some of you know, the older Google-map KML-based searches no longer work, as Google removed support for them earlier this year.

As of now, two new search pages are online, one to search for pilots around a zip code:
http://www.pilotsnpaws.org/maps_more/ma ... ersZip.php

And another to search for pilots around an airport code:
http://www.pilotsnpaws.org/maps_more/ma ... irport.php

Both these pages will show active pilot users within the distance specified around the zip or airport code. The list is sorted by the pilots closest to the searched location, then sorted by the pilot’s last forum activity.
You can click on the username to goto the forum's user page, where you can PM or see details of the user. Also the airport ID will take you to the AOPA airport directory with address and FBO details.

If you wish to PM multiple pilots, best to open two tabs and copy/paste the usernames into the TO of a new private message. The private message TO box will accept multiple usernames, one on each line.

The zip code search is also linked from trip requests. There are two new links, one to show pilots within 50 miles of the sending zip code, and another to show the same within 50 miles of the receiving zip code.

If you have any questions or issues with using these new pages, please post them here or PM me.

Regards,
Mike

Update for today:

The trip map (http://pilotsnpaws.org/maps/maps_trips.php) now excludes trips that have been tagged with the Done or Cancelled icons.

Volunteers map (http://www.pilotsnpaws.org/maps/maps_volunteers.php) now shows the volunteers that are displayed at the current map zoom/display level. You can click the button to copy the usernames to your computers clipboard, making it easy to paste those pilots/fosters into a private message.
