Capt Uncle Jim
You did it again. Saved another life. Most people want small or young dogs and if by chance, they end up in a shelter they have the best chance of getting re-homed.
25% of the dogs in shelters are purebreds. Labs and Pit bulls top the list at the most breed specific or mixes of the two breeds found at shelters . Millions are euthanized each year .
With all the odds against him, Gunner had no chance , but you not only rescued him and but flew him to a safe and top notch rescue." Lab Rescue of Florida" . His luck changed. He won the lottery with you. With such a short time frame with the bad weather approaching and his limited time left, you took the gamble. 16 hours from door to door is beyond a call of duty, let along- all the other flights you have flown to make a difference in the life of an animal. . We would like to award you from all the voiceless animals- Our Pilot Hero " Protector of Animals out of Harm's Way Award".

Pilots N Paws - Thank you for your organization and all of your Pilots. They are true" Unsung Heroes".
