An "Even Dozen", Idaho Falls to Casper, WY

It was a busy day! And a Good Day to Fly! :)

Jill and I picked up 2 golden retrievers, a boxer and a border collie mix + 8 pups in Idaho Falls and flew them to Casper, WY, this morning. Great way to spend a Sunday!

We took the back seats out of our TC-310Q, with appropriate paperwork changes WRT weight and balance. Turned it into a "Freight Dog". Mom border collie mix and her 8 pups (4 wks old), rode in a large (36x27), wire crate, and the full - size boxer and 2 goldens rode on blankets tethered with harnesses and leashes. All did just fine, considering they came from different shelters and fosters. Evaluation of temperament is critical for these "events". Dog fights Inside the airplane are NOT good!

Our thanks to Lisa, HART, and Tonya, WBCR, And Sandra, GRRR, for setting this up. There were lots of other volunteers helping, thanks!

Jill and I are really happy to be a small link in a very good chain!!!

ps The line girl at Casper wants to adopt 2 of the pups when they're old enough :)

Rich and Jill,

Once again you have really made a difference in so many lives.......working together with these wonderful fosters and rescues to get these precious pups where they need to go is the biggest gift you could give these animals....

Thank you all, very much!!

What do you say we try for another even dozen during the Pilots N Paws 5000? LOL
