PILOTS N PAWS

Dorie's story began in Dec in SC with the first of her many owners. She next traveled to NC, which was followed by several brief stays with adoptive owners in CT. As sometimes happens, nobody understood or appreciated her special gifts. By the time she was moved to yet another home, this one in PA, she was beginning to shut down. However, that foster understood what was wrong and immediately took steps to correct the situation. In addition to being stressed in previous homes, she also had an untreated thyroid condition and epilepsy. As Dorie's recovery began, rescue was asked to take her, and we started working on getting her to a family who will do everything possible to see that Dorie forgets what happened to her in her first four years of life.
