Additional Info/situation: I was contacted by a reporter in Knoxville, TN who wants to do a story on PNP. This is such a wonderful chance to get the word out on PNP and increase awareness. Of course, since this is a reporter, she is on a deadline. Basically she wants to follow a PNP flight out of Knoxville. She and her camera person would ride along on the mission. Trouble is the rescues I send to are all in NY or CT. That's too far for a pilot out of Knoxville, so we need help to get them on to Danbury, CT.

Debi Boies found a pilot out of Knoxville. He can fly on Friday, May 11 or Monday or Tuesday of next week. If Tuesday, pilot Elliott DeGraff could help. However, the weather looks bad next week starting on Tuesday. The pilot out of Knoxville can carry 5-7 dogs depending on size. Right now we have 3 small dogs confirmed. We are contacting the receiving rescue for some others now to determine whether or not they will have room to take them in at this time.

We are planning a flight from Knoxville to Martinsburg, WV now, but I think the pilot out of Knoxville could fly into Frederick instead (or another airport in that general area). From there the dogs would need to fly on to Danbury, CT. I would expect a noon or early afternoon arrival in Martinsburg (or the general area). The reporter and her camera person would not be riding on the second leg, but would be filming at the connection airport.

Hi,
I could do the leg up to Danbury on Friday 5/11 also. Could connect with the Knoxville pilot at Leesburg (KJYO, near DC), Frederick (KFDK), Martinsburg (KMRB), or Hagerstown, MD (KHGR). Next week would work too.

Thank you for your kind offer to help, Steve. This is a perfect offer. However, another pilot offered to help a little earlier, so the flight into Danbury is covered now and you won't need to fly it. Catch you another time.

Hopefully this will go on Friday with no delays. So far the weather looks good across the route. I will update this post to "Done" once it's complete.

Are you based out of Leesburg?
