SPECIAL THANKS TO PILOT JOHN LEE FOR MAKING THIS TRANSPORT HAPPENT!
God bless you greatly, John, for all of your help!
S Fitch, Mid-ABHR
Mid-Atlantic Basset Hound Rescue has agreed to take two bassets, Ginger & Buster, from Bluegrass Basset Rescue (KY), who is overloaded with hounds. We have prospective, pre-approved adopters waiting for the hounds.
Both Mid-ABHR and Bluegrass Basset Rescue are 501c3 non-profit organizations dedicated to the rescue and welfare of basset hounds. Susan Intessimone, president of Bluegrass, currently has both hounds at her home. There is an airport in Hopkinsville (zip code 42240) - KHVC.
We need to get them to one of the following areas, and are flexible if a pilot can suggest another airport in the PA/NJ area. I'd be willing to drive out to Harrisburg, PA (Capital City Airport - KCXY) as well.
Allentown, PA (zip code 18103) (Queen City Airport - KJVU)
Quakertown, PA KUKT
Doylestown, PA KDYL
Pittstown, NJ N85
Readington, NJ N51
Morristown, NJ KMMU
Somerville, NJ KMSQ
Both bassets are VERY mellow, housetrained, up-to-date on their rabies, distemper, bordatella vaccinations, and have interstate health certificates. Susan has a crate available - dimensions to be supplied, but these two may very well snooze the entire trip. Both bassets will have collars, leashes, and ID tags.
BUSTER (approx. 45 pounds)
GINGER (approx. 40 pounds)
Please contact me with any questions.
