I am working on the sending side right now. Huskyhouse will pick up on the receiving side.

Hi David,

When would you want to pick up Niki (girl) on Sunday?

I can be there about 11 am, and back at Baltimore around 2 pm.

lumatech, does that work for you?

HuskyHouse, did the kennel agree to change the pickup airport to Cheraw Municipal (KCQW)?

(Can you guys introduce yourselves so we can use names?? Thanks!)

I am working on the change of airport. I don't see it as a big deal, It is closer than Pageland. I am waiting to hear back.

Republic is about 10 minutes away, but almost any airport in the tristate area works..

Hi,

Well, we have lift off! A worker at the kennel will be taking Niki to the Cheraw airport a little before 11AM on Sunday. I am assuming that the two of you will arrange the hand off in Baltimore.

Just tell me where and when to meet Niki.

A note about Huskies, if you've never traveled with one. They are great escape artists, so the collar has to be tight and always have a good grip on the lead, unless they are crated.

My email and phone number are on my previous post.

Thank you so much, both of you.

Larry

Sounds good, 2 pm exchange at MTN works for me. I understand there is only one FBO at MTN, correct?

In NY, I am based at HPN (White Plains), so the easiest for me would be if you can pick up the dog there. I may be able to drop into Republic, but it depends on the timing.

Another caveat - my plane is in maintenance right now, should be out by tomorrow, but you never know with these things. I will post when I know for sure the plane is back in service.

Feel free to call/text/email to finalize the arrangements.

Hi Yuri,

Ok, just located the airport. It's about an hour away, it's doable. I'll watch for updates and we can talk on Saturday to make sure all is in place. it looks like there is a commercial part and a private part of the airport. I assume I will come in on Tower road, off Purchase St. (120)?

Again, thanks,

Larry

Hi Yuri, yes just the one FBO at MTN. It's the building beneath the tower cab.

I'm also scheduled for maintenance today--an oil/filter change. Usually they don't find anything else wrong but you never know.

Larry, the largest crate I have is appropriate for a beagle, but I'm not sure about a 40-lb husky for a 2+ hour trip. I do have a harness and plan to belt her in.

Can you provide the name and phone of your contact at the kennel?  My info is below.

Looking forward to meeting Niki!

Hi David,

The Kennel is run by a very nice lady, Lori, 843.623.2992. She will shortly give me the name/number of one of her workers who will be taking Niki to Cheraw. As I understand it, NIki is friendly and well-behaved.

Fingers crossed....
