It Looks like rain and snow in the NY area too, where Dean will be flying out of onThursday. We probably won't have a good idea until Wednesday. Most of the week looks like a wash except Friday so far.

The wx looks like it will be coming from the south, so the window is Friday. If I am here, I'll be able to cover Friday. If not, Bruce Cohen ([email protected]) will back me up for the weekend only, wx provided. His cell is 518-321-0290 should you need to speak with him. He is also able to board Dasher overnight should Charlie need to postpone his leg.

Depart Hilton Head 0900 to Henderson Oxford (KHNZ) (Daniel, what would be your approximate arrival time?)
Steve: KHNZ to Frederick, MD (KFDK) (1:15 enroute)
Dean: KFDK to K(?)
Charlie K(?) to destination

Dean, if you end up unavailable and we need your backup pilot, would we need to switch days to the weekend?

Yes, he is only available over the weekend. I may not have anyone available Friday.

I'll have to wait with my ETA pickup destination etc., until I have more info about Dean's scheduling.

Dean, Did I misunderstand, I though that you had said in an earlier post that you may be available on Friday? Do you know yet if in fact you are available on Friday. It looks, as of now, that you may be getting snow showers and or rain on Saturday at Poughkeepsie. I know that Friday, so far, the weather looks good for the entire flight.

At this moment, I don't know whether or not I am traveling. I am supposed to leave for vacation with my family if i can find someone to care for my elderly mom. The
vacation plans were booked in advance and the only reason I would not be able to travel is if I don't have someone to care for her.

Bruce can only cover for me over the weekend (he is working Friday), and it appears Friday is the day for the rescue. I'm looking for another pilot who can fly Friday.

Mt Pleasant (KLRO) to Hilton Head (KHXD) is 61 nm so about 30 minutes.
Hilton Head (KHXD) to Henderson-Oxford (KHNZ) is 270 nm, so 1 hour 40 minutes.

I'll be ready to go by 8 am on Friday morning Wx permitting. I'll keep an eye on the posts.
