Emily,

I've reserved the plane for next Sunday 12/30 to bring Paloma up to Augusta, Maine, and could do this on the same trip. Plan would be to bring her down from Augusta (or KIZG, Eastern Slopes Regional) to KHFD (Hartford, CT) Sunday 12/30. You'd need another leg or two to get her down to Annapolis.

There's another flight from Maine to Maryland that would be great if we can do together:

From the other post:
Johnny - Could you meet Steve at KAVP, (Wilkes Barre) and bring Paloma to KHFD Sunday morning?

I could bring Paloma from KHFD to KAUG (or Portland or ?) earlier on Sunday, hop over to KIZG and pick up the other pointer, and bring her back to KHFD, and hopefully someone can take her further to MD (South of Annapolis is her final destination). In any case, I'm ready to go fly somewhere with howlers in the back seat. :)

Thanks Andris! If we could make that work it would be great! Do you have an idea as far as timing goes for Sunday?

I am at MTN in Baltimore. If we can do this Monday, I can fly as far as Greenwood Lake in NJ. Let me know if this helps! Lookin too windy for me on Sunday...says gusting to 30.

Thanks! Andris, would Monday work for you? It looks like Maine is forecast for snow on Sunday as well as the wind issue. Otherwise, what does the following weekend look like for any one?

Thanks again,
Emily

I could do Monday, and will post in the other thread too. Atcsst, what are you wind personal maximums? I'd rather not have a bumpy flight for the pup either. If this low moves through faster than expected, is Sunday an option? Could you get up to KPOU? Cheap gas, and I think a restaurant on the field, and we could avoid a third leg. It would add 30nm for both of us.

Monday is now looking good with VFR and calm winds. Flight on?

KMTN TAF: FM310900 27007KT P6SM SCT250
FM311700 24007KT P6SM BKN200
KPOU TAF: FM311400 25006KT P6SM BKN250

Emily - What's the contact info for the rescue? The closest airport to West Baldwin, ME seems to be Eastern Slopes Regional (KIZG) in Fryeburg, ME.
http://www.airnav.com/airport/KIZG

How does this sound?
I would arrive at KIZG at noon, and pick up the pointer.
Grab lunch (anything there?), depart 1pm for KPOU, 2 hrs enroute (a bit of a headwind forecast), arrive 3pm and hand the pup over to atcssc.

Not sure on travel time for ATCSSC, but probably 2 hrs? KPOU-KMTN

ATCSSC - does that work?

I'm also based at MTN and can be a backup to atcssct if needed. I can be at POU tomorrow at 3.
