Additional Info/situation:

San Antonio SPCA is transferring this Bloodhound to American Black & Tan Coonhound Rescue, which has an adopter for him. We need to get him to Spring (Houston area), where ABTCR will take over and handle transport to the pre-screened adopter. I've been trying to find him ground transport for a couple of days without success.

Carter's transport from Spring to the adopter has already been arranged by ABTCR for 09 Jan, so we need to get him there before that, most likely this upcoming weekend. ABTCR has arranged boarding in Spring. I will arrange transport from the airport to the boarding kennel once I know our flight schedule.

Saturday's weather is looking pretty yucky, but Sunday looks quite promising. I hope that holds.

Here's Carter's picture:

Thank you for all you do for the homeless animals.

I could try and fly him on Sunday if the weather allows. Let me know asap. Nic

I can do this Sunday morning - should be good flying weather. I would need to be back in the Houston area by noon if possible. Figuring about 2 hours each direction means I would want to arrive at Boerne Stage by 9is Sunday morning.

I am based at Pearland (KLVJ) aka Clover Field. Can the receiver meet at Sugarland to pick up the pup?

That would be wonderful!

What is your likely schedule? I'll need to start making arrangements on both ends.

Merci!

I have a plane booked from 10 am to 5 pm. So, CB are you taking this fly in charge ?

Just saw your response. That would work, but I already responded to Flying Frenchman. Let's see how plans work out with him. If it doesn't work, I'll get back to you and see whether you have taken on another commitment.

Thank you!

Our messages keep crossing!

I'll let the two of you work it out, if that's okay.

Flying Frenchman, which field do you fly out of? If you're closer to Spring, that might be a factor.

I'm in NW Houston, flying from Weiser. If CB is volunteer to fly that pup, I have no problem to let him/her do this one and fly another day for another dog. Just let me know asap. :)

Thanks

Nic

It would be a lot easier for me to get someone to EYQ to meet you than to anywhere in the Sugar Land area. This hound is going to Spring to boarding, and my most likely ground transport person is in Conroe. If you are willing to do this, we would be very appreciative.

OK, let's go for it then. I'll get the plane ~ 10 am on Sunday, which make me land in the San Antonio area around 12 noon, and back to EYQ around 2 pm (taking some slight margins).

I have to say that I've had issues in the past with the folks ar EYQ cancelling the plane at the last minute or not showing up to hand me the keys (3 times already), so there is unfortunately a little chance that I'm cancelling at the last minute ... :-( Flexibility is key ...

Who would be the contacts at departure and destination ? Does Carter travel with a harness/leash ?
