That'll work.
I have to say that I've had issues in the past with the folks ar EYQ cancelling the plane at the last minute or not showing up to hand me the keys (3 times already), so there is unfortunately a little chance that I'm cancelling at the last minute ... :-( Flexibility is key ...
I'll try to find a backup, but it may be difficult. Let's hope EYQ folks come through.
Who would be the contacts at departure and destination ?

On the Boerne end (5C1) it will be Jo Ellen, who runs San Antonio SPCA. Her cell number is 210-724-0912. She will probably be in a Chevrolet Tahoe.

On the EYQ end, it's TBD. I will have to find someone to pick up there and take Carter to the boarding place in Spring. Now that I have a time (14:00) I can work on that, and will let you know. I should also ask whether that's the direction you'll be headed in and whether you could give him a ride if it is, but I don't think it will be difficult to find someone else to do the pickup for us.
Does Carter travel with a harness/leash ?
He will have a collar or harness, and will have a leash. He will also have a packet of paperwork with his medical records.

Thank you again for your offer of help!

Go for it, Nic. There is a german shepherd that needs to go to El Paso through Boerne Stage - that trip is tentatively planned for this weekend too. If it comes together for the GSD, is there any way you could take a dog each way on Sunday?

I love it when multiple dogs get to ride on one transport! I hope it works out for the GSD.

If the sheperd can be delivered to EYQ by 10:00 am on Sunday, he definitely can take a ride to Boerne. Let me know

Ok, all set on my side so far, we're a go for Sunday, weather permitting.

Waiting confirmation for the contact at return @ EYQ to pick up the hound, and if the shepherd is flying with me to 5C1.

FYI : I'll be flying a white/green/gold Piper Archer tail # N2332M. My cell phone is 864 991 9396, email [email protected]. It would be easier to reach me in the weekend on my phone (or email) than using this site.

Thanks

Nic

Still working on the transport at the EYQ end. I have requests out to several of the usual suspects and am waiting for replies. There's a good chance I won't hear from people until evening, when they're home from work.

Thanks to Nic Chevalier, Carter made it to his temporary boarding in Spring yesterday. He's now ready for the next leg of his journey to his new home on Wednesday.

We very much appreciate what Nic and Pilots N Paws did for Carter and for so many other dogs.
