Becky, the Beagle, is in desperate need of reaching her new home in San Antonio. Thankfully, she made her way out of Vermilion Parish A.C. and into the safety of a foster home, while transport is pending. This will be the third attempt at getting Becky on her way. First scheduled trip was cancelled the night before takeoff due to the pilot's suffering a brutal knee injury. Second trip was aborted on Sunday when the oil-pressure gauge "redlined" just minutes after takeoff. As they say, we are counting on the "third time's the charm!" Pilot will need to furnish a medium crate for Becky, who is a wonderful, quiet little traveler--at least in the car!
We can combine Becky's trip with any other headed in the same general direction. We can also break this into 2 legs, if need be, i.e., New Iberia (ARA) to Houston and Houston to Boerne Stage Field (5C1).
Becky made it to San Antonio, as of noon today, 02/24. Thanks to Mark Powell and his family for taking such good care of her and to Shirley Tinnen of Brazoria Co. Humane in Houston for fostering her for several days until Mark could fly her.
