These 2 dogs were pulled from a high-kill shelter in Thibodaux last week and now need a ride to Houston. They have been transferred by ground to me in Broussard for fostering until we can fly them out from the New Iberia airport (ARA). This trip was scheduled for this past Sunday from the Houma airport, but high winds forced us to cancel.
Weather is predicted to be great in our area thru Thursday, then starts to deteriorate. If anyone can take them prior to the weekend, this would be our best shot. Tom Bragg has offered to pick them up this weekend if weather should cooperate.
We prefer SW Houston-area airports, such as Pearland, Arcola or Sugarland but we can be flexible on pick-up in Houston.
Pilot will need his own crates: two medium/small for the dogs, as they need to be kept separate if possible. Puppy's immunity is not complete and we would like to see that she stays healthy.
If the kittens go, one smallish/medium crate for all 3 would be perfect. They could possibly come in their own cardboard carrier and would not have to be transferred from crate to crate (ideal).
Trip was completed today by Chris Fontana and his brother. Chris flew the dogs and kittens from Abbeville (IYA) to Pearland
(LVJ), arriving at LVJ around 11:15. All "critters" are now safely tucked in with their new rescuers. Thanks, Chris!!
