Additional Info/situation:
Jethro is an American Foxhound. He came into the shelter with numbers painted on his sides, indicative of having been very recently in a field competition. Such competition hounds are usually their owner's best hounds and are quickly retrieved if they get lost and end up in a shelter. Not this time. Jethro has been in the shelter in Many, LA, long enough to be out of time and in danger of being put down, even though he's healthy and friendly. We have found a foster home for him in the Georgetown, TX, area, where he'll have a foster Bluetick Coonhound for company, along with the foster mom's own Black & Tan Coonhound. Now we just need to get him there.
Greta is a pointer going to pointer rescue in San Angelo. We couldn't see putting a bird in the air for Jethro and not including her. If we can get her to Austin/Georgetown, we can figure out the next part.
I've been waiting for the weather to quit being so wiggly before posting this request. At this point it looks like Friday through Sunday are all much better than we've seen in awhile. Pick the time that works for you. Our only limit is that our foster on the receiving end in Georgetown works during the day and can't get to GTU until 18:30. Sat and Sun don't have that limitation. On the other hand, she needs to be at GTU on Friday at 18:30 anyway, for an outbound flight for a mastiff.
Thank you for all you do for the homeless animals.
