Additional Info/situation: The transport date is flexible; will work with pilots schedules; however we are starting this transport on June 27, 2013. This little girl (Bella Mia) was pulled from a kill shelter so is safe. She is currently in a foster home in WI, but needs to get to her forever home in Santa Fe, NM as soon as we can arrange it. She is being transported from Green Bay, WI to Santa Fe, NM. We already have the legs from Green Bay, WI to Des Moines, IA (thanks Dave!), Des Moines, IA to Kansas City(thanks Steve!), Kansas City to Wichita, KS (thanks Greg!), Wichita, KS to Amarillo, TX (thanks Eric!) covered so we now need a volunteer to help to get our little girl from Amarillo, TX to Santa Fe, NM. Perhaps a leg from Amarillo, TX to Tucumcari, NM? And a leg from Tucumcari, NM to Santa Fe, NM. She travels well and is a happy-go-lucky little girl!
Hearts of Gold Rescue of NM, Inc is a small rescue, based solely on volunteers, in New Mexico and at this time does not have a completed website. While our website is being created we courtesy list our dogs on the New Mexico Animal Friends website (NMAF.ORG). Please view our listings there and you will see a picture of sweet Bella (Jingle Bells "Bella"). We are a legitimate rescue and are so anxious to get Bella to her forever home in New Mexico.
To think this cute little girl was found as a skin and bones stray - to be gobbled up as a snack by the local coyote pack, never claimed by her owner and had we not pulled her could have met a much worse fate as there was no room for her in the shelter and she was on THE LIST . . . .
This system is awesome and I thank all of you that have so graciously volunteered your services. We appreciate your efforts and time!
Thanks so much
MaryEllen
