I have difficult news to report. Our sick puppy succumbed to the distemper and pneumonia late yesterday. We simply got him too late. By the time he was picked up stray by animal control he was too ill to have much chance. The only way he could have survived would have been for his original owner to either take him to a vet or turn him over to the shelter much earlier. He was a very sweet pup, and did not deserve to have him life end this way and so soon.

As much as his original owner failed this puppy, Alex (PnP pilot) was his hero, driving him on what was supposed to be a flying leg because the weather wouldn't co-operate. What little chance he had was due to Alex.

RIP, sweet pup.
