What is your schedule and the weather looking like for tomorrow (9/22) for picking up a sweet, goofy, red headed bloodhound puppy who will soon be the new K9 officer for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and the Specialty Dog Unit for SE PA.

His new Dad, Walt would love to make this trip with you and care for his puppy
on the way home. Walt worked ground zero with his past bloodhound. He is
use to flying for search and rescue missions. Deacon will be traveling with
loop leash, blanket, etc. name what you need, we can provide it.

If it is to much to have Walt meet at your airport, we still have Dr.
Marybeth Cline to meet your plane, assist in loading him, etc. and Walt
would pick up at your airport.

You can pick up at KFWQ Rostraver Airport Monongahela, Pennsylvania, USA -
Elizabeth, PA
or Allegheny County Airport back to your airport

Puppy's Name: Deacon - sweet, kissing red head... goofy... have picture..
Number of animals being transported: ONE
Breeds, weight, age: Bloodhound puppy, 70 pounds, 7 months old
Health Condition: just vetted on Wednesday, thin, just has first round of vaccinations - has staples from neuter, not fully protected.
Heart worm Status: negative

Health Certificate: YES
Spay/Neutered: Neutered

Contact information (publicly viewable on forum): Ann T. Transport Coordinator
Are you a 501c3: yes can provide a letter for your sweet charitable donation

Additional Info/situation: This boy came into rescue as breeder surrender with turning over three puppies from his final litter. He has 10 weeks to
live and did right by the boys of knowing they would have forever home for their lives. The owner has been ill, no car, pump went out on well, but he
continued to care for them the best he could until he realized it was getting to much. The boys have only had their first shots, so still not
fully protected. They did receive their rabies vaccination. Bloodhound Rescue has taken in 8 Amish breeder surrenders in the past couple weeks. It is our understanding the Amish are no longer breeding bloodhounds...

We are very flexible to airports - AirNav: KFWQ - Rostraver Airport or KAGC - Allegheny County Airport
Airports on destination end can be Pottstown, Reading, Allentown, Quakertown, etc. you name, Walt will be there.

Thank you so much for your consideration and the last minute request. I have been watching the weather and knew today was out...
Ann and Deacon (how sad, he doesn't even know his name)

Congratulations on getting a new puppy.. what kind are you getting, share a picture of two...

Thank you for the great offers..

I checked with Walt and yes, he could take off from work to do it during the week. I have check at the vet clinic who could run the puppy to the airport. Please keep me posted...

-------
Gary -- are you looking at Elizabeth, PA... south of Pittsburgh?

I can not ask this vet clinic to send a staff person almost four hours away one way to York, PA. They were nice enough to take in three flea covered bloodhound puppies, one having an injured leg with a 3 hour notice. They quickly redid their schedule to get them all vetted - including neutering at minimal fees. When I ran mapquest between Elizabeth, PA and York, PA that is I-76 E 211.05 miles 3 hrs 41 mins / 3 hrs 37 mins based on current traffic and Carroll, MD would be farther yet.

------
I just learned the second bloodhound puppy will be going from Elizabeth, PA to Fallston, Maryland... so what are the chances of taking two puppies -- 140 pounds to Pottstown, PA and meet and take one back to Fallston, MD?

Thank you so much...
Ann

I am based at Leesburg, VA (KJYO). On Wednesday ( 9/25) I could fly up to Allegheny County or another airport in the Pittsburgh area and fly the dog back to Leesburg, if Gary could take him from there up to eastern PA. I am working that AM but could pick the dogs up by about 2:30-2:45 and hopefully be back at Leesburg by about 4:30 or so, if that would work.

Thank you Rick,
I now have placement of two of these puppies who came into rescue last Tuesday. One is going to Boyertown, PA (Pottstown) and one is going to Fallston, MD... They are both around 70 pounds, litter mates. Could you pick up both puppies, give them to Gary.. Then Gary would drop one off one at Pottstown, PA and bring the other one back to his airport to be picked up by the family from Fallston, MD?

Rick -- If you can't handle two - 70 pound puppies, I may see if I can get someone to handle the Pottstown, PA one and get you and Gary to help with the Fallston, MD one...

Gary, what do you think? Can you handle 2 - 70 pound puppies... they are litter mates, so it won't be an issue as they get along. and they are puppies... who were neutered last Wednesday.

Thank you so much,
Ann

Thank you guys so much...

The first puppy is a red one and it is the one posted going to Boyertown, PA or Pottstown that area...
The second puppy is a black and tan and is going to Fallston, MD...
Both puppies can be picked up at the KFWQ Rostraver Airport Monongahela, Pennsylvania, USA - only 15 minutes for staff to run them there. Renee is very flexible of meeting plane/s.

So, we will get one puppy moved on Tuesday for sure...

And if Gary could help on Wednesday we can get the second puppy moved.

I need to get as close to Fallston, MD with the second puppy... as the couple are expecting their first child... and I don't want to get Dad to far away from home. So, the ideal airport would be this one... AirNav: W42 - Fallston Airport -- Here are other airports listed on the airnav page.. 0W3 - Harford County Airport (10 nm E); KMTN - Martin State Airport (11 nm S); KAPG - Phillips Army Airfield (11 nm E). The first puppy is going to a deputy sheriff who can drive further.

I can pick up the puppy at KFWQ at about 2:30 on Wed, but could only bring him back to KJYO. I have to be at a meeting later in the afternoon and couldn't go all the way to Fallston or KMTN. I'm afraid that someone would have to meet me at KJYO, either with an airplane or a car, to take the puppy to Fallston.
