SCHEDULED: NY to DC-VA;one English cocker

Post by rsqdoc58 » Tue Jul 14, 2009 10:16 am

I am getting nowhere with ground transportation.
We have a one yr old English cocker whose owner is ill and was going to put her dog in the shelter. We intervened and found a home for the dog here in Alexandria,Va (Reagan National in our backyard). The prospective adopters just tragically lost their dog and not long ago another died of cancer so I am very anxious to bring them their new baby

The dog could be ready as early as this Sunday (or possibly late Saturday)
We are flexible
Please contact me to help make a happy ending.

If a VA pilot can go north, the potential adopter would accompany if it's OK with pilot.

Thanks to Greg Pound who flew adopter Terri S up to collect Ruby, a sweet little girl whose owner, pictured on left, had become too frail to care for her.
Ruby is in her new home where they will be working on building her confidence . We generally don't do direct adoptions, but this owner and her partner had adopted from us recently and they had already been approved,so Ruby did not have to adjust to a foster home and then be moved again.
The adopters had recently lost their dog tragically and so ,it was a win-win for all .
I don't know how we could have done this without PNP!
