She is being fostered by our only contact in Dallas - she is going home for Thanksgiving and we will have no other foster or contact for Mecca in Dallas. We have no alternatives for this girl. I have tried contacting local lab rescue for support but no answer. I will pay for Mecca to fly home to Chicago with student but if temp in Chicago is less than 45F, AA will not let her fly - we have no back-up in Chicago. Pls help!!

For local support, have you reached out to Texas Sporting Breeds Rescue? I have done a flight for them and they are good folks. http://Www.retrieveafriend.org

I am north of Dallas in Denton. I can do a leg to Tulsa if you can get the others arranged. I a weekend only VFR pilot at the moment. Aircraft is jointly owned so I need some advanced notice.

If the dog is good with cats, I might be able foster for a short period.

Wow, all great advice and support, thank you!! I think she would be good with cats, she is quite mellow and a cuddle bunny according to the student :-) Please could you e-mail me at [email protected]? Would love to further chat - thank you!!! Sandra

Can we try to do this on Sat/Sun 23 or 24 Nov? We are only looking for Tulsa to St Louis.... unless instead of Tulsa, you could bring her to Fayetteville? That would bring her within range for 1 leg to St Louis I think...?

Thank you all - Mecca is the SWEETEST dog - wish I could post a pic :)

Saturday 11/23, or Sunday 11/24 is open for me. And I can do Fayetteville. I'll need nice weather like we have today as I'm a VFR pilot.

I have blocked the schedule for the aircraft for Saturday and Sunday. Do let me know exact date and schedule as soon as possible.

I will email my contact details later today.

And the longer journeys are very much like the Underground Railroad.
