Hello Jay,
It makes no sense for me to fly from Stewart (KSWF) to Schenectady because its only a 40 minute flight each way. I can fly the route from Frederick to Schenctady if you need me to. Another idea is for me to meet John (?) at say, Lancaster (KLNS) or Allentown, PA and then I take them to Schenectady. That would make it more feasible for me to fly. Let me know.

Any chance there would be room for one more? I've got a rescued Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever in Nashville that I could get someone to drive him to Knoxville. His final destination is Hopewell, NJ but the forever home is happy to pick him up anywhere close to their home. Frederick, Md or whether the stop would be before traveling onto NY would work. He's in good health, cleared to travel and weighs ~45 lbs.

Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

Ann,
To add another adult dog at 40 lbs would be too much for my planes configuration.

I know it's too early to tell - but looks like Sunday may be the better day -- will keep an eye on the weather.

Do we know who's doing which legs? I saw an offer from FDK to SCH, NY - and I know I offered to fly South - but do we have a first leg pilot?

If you fly south, I can do either KJYO (preferred) or KFDK to KSWF (Stuart International). I'd prefer an early departure if we can get the pups up there in time. Let me know! :plane:

I have a Cessna 172 XP with the rear seat removed, I can handle quite a bit of weight.

With all the back and forth help, not sure where this all stands??

Ok, weather right now looks like Friday or Sunday is best for the entire flight (Cold and rain Saturday) - Dean offered Sat or Sunday for FDK to SCH, and I believe both Matt and John offered the second leg for Sunday also, is that correct? I would be thrilled if someone could fly a bit farther southwest than BCB to shorten the first leg drive, but if not possible i will gladly do the drive to get these guys north, thanks all and please respond back with conformations or suggestions, Jay

Leg 1) Knoxville TN to Virginia Tech/Montgomery Executive Airport (BCB) – 193 nm (Jay driving, if pilot is not available)
Leg 2) Virginia Tech/Montgomery Executive Airport (BCB) to Frederick Municipal Airport (FDK) – 195 nm (John or Matt?)
Leg 3&4) Frederick Municipal Airport (FDK) to Schenectady County Airport (SCH) – 260 nm (Dean)

I agree, Sunday is looking better. Any chance Leg 2 can up to Lancaster, PA or are we set for Frederick?

195nm is already pushing my range (as I am a renter) -- and I am based at Frederick...is it a big issue to come to FDK (saves a stop).

John - up to you, I am happy to take this or all yours.
