Sue how far north could you go with your GSD, could you do Grants Pass OR and meet Douglas or to Eugene, OR and meet Laura, who maybe could drop your GSD in Portland on her return trip, if she is willing? Then you take JW the bloodhound back to your base? Then I would need a pilot from Rio Vista, CA to Bakersfield, CA if I am reading this right?
We have Douglas willing to go from Eugene, Oregon to Grants Pass, Oregon... He could take JW - bloodhound south meet you in Grants Pass, OR and pick up the GSD... take it back to Eugene, Oregon, then maybe do Ground Transport from Eugene, OR to Portland, OR as Laura would already be on her way back to WA... You return to your home base with JW and we get a pilot to do Rio Vista, CA to Bakersfield, CA??

Re: < 2 yr. Bloodhound have WA State- to Grantpass, OR A
I can do a leg from the Grants Pass area to the Redding area. Me and Douglas and Ladyflier just connected last week on the same and it worked perfectly. Gotta have pretty good weather, I'm VFR only, I think Doug likes blue skies best too...

Re: < 2 yr. Bloodhound need Redding to Bakersfield, CA
From what I see, the pup is looking at about a 10 hour trip, not counting any stopping time. Laurafox will have to take him about 2 1/2 hours to get to Eugene. Doug will only need about an hour to get to me at Grants Pass, then I'll need about an hour and a half to get to Redding. Each transfer could take 45 minutes or so, giving the pup a pee/water/stretch break. If Ladyflier is in on this, she's an hour and a half or so from Redding. Then he'll be 3-4 hours from home... Without an overnight foster, we'll have to be real efficient and on schedule, and start pretty early. I just talked to Doug, and he and I are game and we know how to find each other.
Hopefully we'll have good luck finishing the legs, and getting a smile from the weather gods! I'll be watching.

Yes, he is very healthy... and will be fostered, bathed, etc. by Sheri.. before the flight. I really need to get him moved on Saturday if at all possible.. As I am not sure many would be flying on Easter.
