Filled- MD-FL 11 year Old Rotty

Post by pitsrotts4life » Sat Aug 22, 2009 8:06 pm

We just rescued an elderly Rottweiler who has been living in a cage in a vet's office for 4 years of her life. She is arthritic, and driving her would be extremely hard on this poor girl. This is her chance to live out her life in happiness with someone who will finally give her the love, attention, and care that she deserves. Please help. Her life literally depends on making it to Florida. We can transport her to a different airport in the MD/DC/VA metro if that helps make the process easier.
Thank you and God bless~
Melanie

How much does she weigh? How social is she after being caged for so long? A trip that far might require an overnight foster and she would have to be social around other dogs. I might be able to set this up, but it will require at least one more pilot ( preferably two).

Nina weights about 60-70lbs. She is fine with other dogs. She has been in a cage for 4 years, so a few hours flying will be fine.
She wants to love people more than anything. An overnight foster would be fine.
Right now, we are running out of time and options.

Whatever you can do is most appreciated!
THANK YOU!!

I can take this pup from Deland to Palm Beach (final stop) - Dates and times are somewhat flexible depending on other transports.

Hi Jeff and Marty,
Sorry if I have not responded, but I have not had access to the comp for the past couple days. Melanie has been posting for me and I spoke with Jeff on the phone yesterday. If you need to reach me, I can get emails on my blackberry but can't get on this site, you can email me at [email protected] or you can call me at 443-253-6586. I'm a littel behind on answering voicemails lately since I've been spending nights trying to trap an injured pitbull. Thank you

Thank you so much Jeff and Marty. I am so happy Nina has found a forever home. If it weren't for you guys, she would still be living in a cage in the vets office (due to her owners boarding her there 4 yrs ago and never getting her out). We appreciate your help so much. You guys are great. Thank you

Susan
