THE RULES & FINE PRINT

As a volunteer transport coordinator, I am dependent on what the senders tell me about our passengers' temperaments. The very nature of rescue transport creates some risk for those who participate in it; even a good-natured dog may find it stressful to be passed from stranger to stranger and cooped up with unfamiliar dogs, and in consequence may act in uncharacteristic ways. Neither I nor anyone associated with this transport can accept liability for any accidents or incidents that may occur during the transport.

If you wish to adopt a dog you have driven you must go through regular channels (the receiving rescue). No dog leaves this transport.

Please do NOT bring your own personal pets on this transport. This can create a number of potential risks. It is also advised not to bring small children along on transports.

Overnighters: Please take appropriate precautions when overnighting dogs. I always recommend keeping your overnight guests segregated from your own animals for many reasons. We only know what we've been told about the passengers on this transport and as such, cannot make any guaranties.

Tiffany,

I could possibly help once Dusty gets a little closer to me, weather depending of course. The weather this weekend does not look great although Sunday (25th) might be flyable. I am in Los Alamos, NM. If Dusty could make it to Pueblo or Walsenburg, CO I might be able to pick him up and fly him down to Las Cruces. Weekends work best for me since I work during the week. Looks like it may be difficult to get him that far South by this Sunday. If he can get there by next weekend that might work. Keep me posted on his progress. Feel free to email if you have any questions. Here is a photo of my plane. Would Dusty do well in a small pet carrier for 2 hours? I have space in the baggage area behind the (fixed) seats; there is a stick in the passenger seat that he could interfere with if he sat there. I just joined PNP and have not yet transported any animal save 30 ex-research mice that were in a closed plastic bin.

Hi Travis,
Thank you so much for your generous offer!! :) I have a pilot that has agreed to fly Dusty (plus one more Papillon) from Colorado Springs, CO to Los Lunas, NM on Sunday, so it looks like we are covered. I truly appreciate your offer. I am sure that there will be more opportunities where we will be able to work together. :)

Thank you,

Tiffany,

Glad to hear that you have a pilot lined up. I fly the Albuquerque to Denver corridor so anywhere in that region works well for me. Have a great weekend and give Dusty a hug for me!
