DONE: 3 Cocker Spaniels to their new adopters

Post by Camp Cocker » Thu May 27, 2010 1:44 am

Hi there Pilots! Camp Cocker Rescue has three adopters waiting to adopt three of our dogs. We are in Los Angeles, CA and the adopters live in the following cities in the bay area: Santa Rosa, Gilroy and Pinole.

What we would love to find is a pilot willing to take us up as far as you can get (perhaps Salinas? or really any city you would enjoy flying into).

Then we will ask all of our adopters to please get in their cars and drive down to meet us at the airport so we can do the adoptions there on the spot. One of the Camp Cocker volunteers will need to accompany the dogs to do the adoption paperwork, we imagine we would be on the ground for about an hour or so to do the actual adoptions?

We would like to make a donation towards your fuel because we know that asking you to take us 300 miles is pretty far and we appreciate you.

We are hoping to do this on Saturday May 28th, at the beginning of the holiday weekend, so the dogs can enjoy a three day weekend with their new homes. Not sure if this will be possible, but we thought we'd at least put this out there and ask.

If we adopt out three dogs, that makes room for three more that we can go and rescue from the shelters.

Thank you so much PilotsNPaws for all that you are doing to make a difference! And thank you to all of the Pilots for your incredible contributions to animal rescue!

Thank you to volunteer Pilot Yehuda for contacting Camp Cocker and helping to fly our three rescue doggies up to San Jose tomorrow. We are very excited to get these dogs into their new homes so that we can save three more shelter dogs in their place.

Thank you Yehuda and thank you PilotsNPaws for making a difference for shelter animals!

Much appreciation,
Cathy Stanley and the cockers
