Kind persons! I have been trying to get a group of kittens to New England for over 1 week - and almost gave up until someone at the GA shelter recommended Pilots N Paws. I have not used services like this in the past but I applaud your efforts to help rescue animals (the GA kits are from a kill-shelter). On my end I have adopted shelter rescues, outside/abandoned pets or fostered sick animals looking for forever homes. Thank you so much for considering us! Laura

Thanks to all the wonderful pilots who help get 4 kits to new forever homes (soon!). Laura

Laura,
With a transport of this length, I encourage you to consider using the commercial airlines.
Please read our article from our home page, "Commercial Aviation Assistance."
Then, take a look at the page, "Commercial Airline Personnel Offering Transports."
While not inexpensive, this will allow you to move all kittens at once and in a timely manner.
Please let me know if you need assistance.

I was wondering what would be involved in getting passengers to volunteer to carry some of these animals? It seems like there are already an awful lot of people getting on and off the plane. Would it be possible to facilitate volunteer passengers with rescues needing transport?
Or would that come under the 'did you pack your own bags?' question?
Just thinking out loud.
